    October is breast cancer awareness month. On Thursday, October 17, the Lady Wolves played Sundance and wore pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. The players fund-raised money for Deb Norris, who is the grandmother to Kaylee Terry, a sophomore on the volleyball team. Deb is battling breast cancer currently.     The Lady Wolves had another successful week on the volleyball court. The Moorcroft Lady Wolves are on a winning streak, coming out victorious from the last eight matches in a row – and the last three matches have been sweeps. Last Tuesday, we traveled to Upton and got the sweep on the road, winning the match (25-23, 25-22, 25-12).     The Moorcroft Lady Wolves volleyball team is on a run, winning the last six games in a row. Over the weekend, the Wolves were on the road again. At Tongue River, they had a close match up and won in five close sets to TR, (21-25, 21-25, 25-19, 26-24, 15-8). I am very proud of this team for battling back after being behind the first two sets.     The Lady Wolves came out on top over the weekend at the Lusk tournament. The Wolves were undefeated, winning all four matches. The first match up was against Upton, the Wolves won with the scores of (25-13, 25-15). They then played the home town of Lusk, winning (25-16, 25-11). Next, the Wolves met HEM, taking them to three sets and winning (25-15, 25-14, 15-3). The last match was against Guernsey Sunrise (25-18, 25-22).     he Moorcroft Lady Wolves started strong last Saturday against Big Horn, winning the first two sets, staying aggressive on offense and putting up a strong block. As the close match continued, Big Horn battled back and won the match in the fifth set. The scores were extremely close (26-24, 25-16, 23-25, 24-26, 11-15).     The Lady Wolves had a great weekend at the Big Horn Invitational. For pool play, the Wolves went 2-4, losing to Tongue River (19-25, 18-25), but splitting sets with both Wind River (19-25, 25-18) and Glenrock (11-25, 25-20). On Saturday, in bracket play, the Wolves came out strong, going 2-1. In a close match to Upton, they lost in two sets (20-25, 21-25). The next two bracket play matches, the Wolves swept both teams.     The Moorcroft Lady Wolves had a great opener last weekend in Custer, SD. As a team, we had great moments and great runs. We served consistently and had a great passing rating, which were our goals for our first tournament. We went 1-2 for the weekend, sweeping Todd County in two, Moorcroft 2 Todd County 0 (25-19, 25-20). We had a close match against Pine Ridge, Pine Ridge 2 Moorcroft 0 (25-17, 25-22) and we took Lead Deadwood to three sets, Lead Deadwood 2 Moorcroft 1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-20).
