  • Moorcroft hits snag with C&D pit

    Grace Moore|Feb 9, 2023

HDR Engineering has been contracted by the Town of Moorcroft to specifically pursue proper permitting closure of the now-defunct landfill. Engineer Heath Turbiville reported the most recent findings last week, as HDR begins that process. The construction and debris (C&D) pit currently available to the public is bringing in approximately 20 tons a month; however, according to Turbiville, the tonnage required to “break even” is 200 ton monthly. Turbiville judges the annual intake the new cell would generate could be approximately $17,000 with the...

The rumors concern an alleged statement made by the mayor at a previous meeting regarding taking over the auspices of the private NEWWA club Fish Fry summer picnic due to uncouth behavior by...

This year, DeBoer again hosted the now-named Just Slayin' Outdoors Icefest on January...

    Ogden Driskill, Wyoming Senate President|Feb 9, 2023

Budget debate signals perhaps the Legislature’s most important responsibility: balancing our state’s checkbook and allocating taxpayers’ hard-earned money. Unlike many recent sessions, this year lawmakers start with the fortunate question of how to appropriate a nearly $2 billion surplus. That’s a big change from only two years ago, when ou...

  • Wolves win in Hulett

    Dusty Petz|Feb 9, 2023

On Friday, the Lady Wolves traveled cross county to take on the Hulett Lady Red Devils. Hulett got off to a quick start and led the Lady Wolves, 5-1 midway through the first quarter. The Wolves locked down defensively and were able to end the quarter on a 16 to 6 run. The Lady Wolves didn’t look back after that, winning the game, 69-37. I thought we did a good job with our full court pressure. We were able to get some turnovers that led to layups or free throws. The Wolves return to action on Friday, when they host Newcastle and are also h...
