    Kemmerer resident gets unclaimed property check exceeding $117,000 EVANSTON (WNE) — The Unclaimed Property Division of the Wyoming State Treasurer’s Office issued a check exceeding $117,000 to a Kemmerer resident at the end of January. The Lincoln County man had a total of 331 properties owed to him, with most of the money related to proceeds and dividends from securities dating back to the early 2000s.     On Tuesday, the Lady Wolves took on the Bobcats from Upton. We knew going into the game that it was going to be a tough challenge. They have good size and the ability to run the floor. The Bobcats got off to a quick start in the first quarter and led, 20-13. The Lady Wolves came back in the second quarter and outscored Upton to take a 33-29 lead into halftime.     On Tuesday, the Wolves Boys Basketball team hosted the #1 ranked Upton Bobcats. In the first quarter, the Bobcats jumped out on top, 23-7. At half time, the Bobcats extended their lead to 37-9. We just didn’t handle their pressure well. We struggled finding good shots offensively and didn’t play well. In the second half, it was much of the same as the Bobcats went on to win this contest, 69-25. We just never could get it going offensively and we really struggled in all phases.     On February 1, emergency fund assistance was given to a traveler in need. On February 2, a lost wallet was turned in to the police department. Police clerk was able to make contact with the owner of the wallet. Owner retrieved the wallet the following day. Nothing further. On February 5, police were notified of an unattended fire at a residence in town. Officer arrived and did not observe a fire burning.
