    When the DEQ inspected the Moorcroft landfill last year, the town was reprimanded for the condition of the facility and given the mandate to come up with a proposal for the landfill’s future, whether closing down completely or digging and lining another pit.     Moorcroft police officer Jory Tadlock has resigned from the department. Mayor Dick Claar reported Tadlock’s departure at the council meeting Monday night. The vacated position has reportedly already garnered interest from parties with whom police chief Bill Bryant has spoken.   • Public Health seeking vaccine candidates

    After a successful second mass vaccination clinic last week, Crook County Public Health has now administered a total of 1192 first doses and 918 second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. The totals include both the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson versions of the vaccine. Crook County Medical Services District has fully vaccinated an additional 60 members of staff and residents.   • Construction continues on lagoon buildings

    According to Jeron Smith of HDR Engineering, for the past week RCS has been regrading and placing new gravel around the lagoons, blower building and future chlorination building. As this operation progresses, the walls and roof of the chlorination building continue to be constructed.
