Lorin Alan Black, 51 of Moorcroft, WY passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his home in Moorcroft. Lorin was born in Utah to David E. and Alida W. Black on July 4, 1967; he was the fourth child in the family. His family moved around to many places as he was growing up. Later he married Elaine Ream in 1993 and they had 11 children. A vibrant bloom is gone with the death of Doris Vore, age 97 of Sundance, Wyoming. Doris was born to Harry and Charlotte Reynolds in a wayside cabin on Sunny Divide during their move from Rocky Point to the ranch southeast of Sundance. She attended the rural Ransom School then on to high school in Sundance. Doris married Woodrow Vore of Beulah, Wyoming, on June 7, 1941, and spent 48 years on their ranch until his passing in 1989. She was born May 5, 1925, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to Lucius and Gladys Mabbott, and was raised in Belle Fourche and Spearfish, South Dakota. Freda married B.F. (Tead) Weaver in 1943, and the couple raised four children. She was a devoted mother and wife, living and raising her family in Upton, Wyoming. Justin Merle Johnson was born January 17, 1974, to Larry and Vana Johnson. He was the youngest of three sons. The family moved to Hulett, Wyoming, in 1978 where Justin attended school from kindergarten through 10th grade. He went on to graduate from the Casper Youth Center in 1992. During the month of May, the Pantry served 162 people. This included 19 new clients, 47 under the age of 18 and 52 over the age of 60. We also shared food with the Blessings programs in Sundance, Moorcroft and Hulett, which collectively serve approximately 150 youth in their areas. The Food Bank of the Rockies will be providing a Mobile Food Pantry in Moorcroft sometime in June. A Gillette man was arrested on multiple charges after about a 25-mile high-speed chase Saturday morning. The pursuit involved the Wyoming Highway Patrol and several other law enforcement agencies who tried to stop a gold Chevy Astro van after its driver was pulled over at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Dustin Regan of Moorcroft has received a deferred sentence on charges of strangulation of a household member after an incident in 2018 during which police were alerted of his presence in a local bar showing signs of having been assaulted.
