Police Chief Bill Bryant is facing his first departmental budget draft in a time of severe cuts, but with assistance from Clerk/Treasurer Cheryl Schneider, he was better prepared when he sat with the council at a workshop Monday afternoon to discuss possible alternatives to the current on-call funding. Dewey Schoenewald of Moorcroft has been sentenced to up to ten years in prison for a burglary charge that relates to multiple break-ins alleged to have taken place in January. After a 31-year career with the state of Wyoming, 24 of which were spent serving the Moorcroft community, game warden John Davis has retired.
