Joseph "Joe" Thaler, 84, of Sundance, Wyoming, passed away Friday July 1, 2022, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Yugoslavia , on March 17, 1938, son of the late John and Maria H. Thaler. At the age of 11, Joe and his family came to America by boat, making New Jersey their home. Joe owned an ice company "Diamond Ice" in New York City for many years before moving to Wyoming. Around 60 guests attended the second annual lunch hosted by Pine Haven's Over the Hill Gang, honoring first responders from around Crook County last Saturday. Rich Wilkerson worked the grill and there were many tasty side dishes available inside. Tables filled with everyone taking turns thanking firemen and EMS technicians as they met.
