With wildfires burning locally and across the nation and little reprieve from the hot, dry weather in sight, it’s likely that the smoke haze is here to stay for the time being. Gary Lee Dowling 70, passed away at Campbell County Memorial Hospital from complications of throat cancer, COPD and emphysema on July 11, 2021 with his family by his side. Over the last couple of months, Texas Trails Park has been watered by hoses attached to sprinkler heads atop tripods. Kids from the subdivision enjoyed the waterworks and were seen dancing under the showers in the grass. Former U.S. Sen. Mike Enzi died late Monday after being seriously injured in a bicycle accident in Gillette on Friday.
