    At the last meeting of the Moorcroft Town council, a two-inch diameter water line was approved to run from the main along Highway 14, through the municipal cemetery to the end of town property in anticipation of the commercial building that is planned to go onto the adjoining privately owned property.     At Monday night’s meeting of the Moorcroft Council, the body was informed that their application for a grant to do the next phase of the Powder River Water Project will not be accepted until the town submits a different revenue source as a match. At this time, that “different” source would include a water rate hike to town residents.     Dallas Lee Douglas, 53, of Upton, Wyoming, died August 14, 2020, at home with his family in his heart. Dallas was born on November 18, 1966, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to Jan and Melvin Douglas. He later moved to Upton with his parents and three siblings, Tony, Paul and Ginger. Together, they all built and established a family home that would be cherished for generations to come.     Cheyenne travel agent sentenced to prison for stealing thousands CHEYENNE (WNE) – A former local travel agent who stole thousands of dollars from people through his business was sentenced Monday morning in Laramie County District Court.     The unofficial results from last week’s primary election have now become official, says County Clerk Linda Fritz. The canvas board met on Friday to verify and confirm the ballots and found there were no changes to the winning candidates that were announced on the night of the election.     A Gillette man faces multiple charges including aggravated assault and interference with a police officer. Vincent Everett allegedly attacked a Moorcroft police officer who chased him after a fight broke out in a local bar.
