  • Lagoon project gets underway

    Grace Moore|Sep 24, 2020

RCS Construction started draining cell two of the lagoon on Monday for the long-awaited, DEQ-mandated project that will cost Moorcroft $4.9 million. About a year ago, the DEQ dealt the hard fact to the council: they are no longer willing to allow the town’s noncompliance with state and federal regulations without seeing a strong push forward to reestablish acquiescence. “They are really dictating to us,” Mayor Dick Claar explains the position in which the town finds itself. “We need to make th...

    Grace Moore|Sep 24, 2020

To mitigate costs as much as possible, the public works department will carry out the “dirt work”, including laying the foundation under the supervision and specifications of the builder. The governing body has been discussing financing a new bathroom structure for Noonan Park for some tim...

    Grace Moore|Sep 24, 2020

Moorcroft alone cannot afford the multimillion-dollar expense for lining a new pit and closing the existing area, so the town is...

It was cancelled in 2013 due to the Atlas Blizzard. Proceeds from the eve...

In the second quarter, the Tigers were able to find the end-zone a few times through the running game and Moorcroft punched it in on a short run by Hunter Garoutte, resulting...
