    Moorcroft Mayor Dick Claar met with the Crook County Commissioners last week to request the formation of a solid waste district in an attempt to save the municipal landfill for the benefit of everyone within the county.     At last month’s meeting of the Moorcroft Town Council, a request for variance was raised by Black Widows coach Dan Schutt regarding use of the Moorcroft Town Center (MTC) gymnasium by the traveling girls basketball team. Under current use fees, each of the nine players are obligated to pay $250 per month for use of the gym, the girls actually use the facility to practice four days during a month’s time.     A statewide mask order goes into effect this week in an effort to address an increase in hospitalizations and deaths due to COVID-19 while keeping businesses open, according to an announcement from Governor Mark Gordon.     Another good man has left us. David Geiman, 79, Sundance, Wyoming, died Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the Crook County Memorial Hospital in Sundance. David Geiman was born December 20, 1940 to Aden and Julia Geiman. David led a great life as a ranch hand for local ranches in the Sundance area. He also was a guide and pack hand for an Idaho outfitting camp. But his greatest accomplishment was his time as a custodian for the Sundance School District.     Glen Edward Cheshier was born on December 16, 1945 in Hulett, WY, a son of Walter and Virginia (Schlosser) Cheshier. Glen grew up in Hulett, where he attended school and graduated from Hulett High School in 1964. Following graduation, Glen spent several years out on the west coast. He eventually returned to Hulett to help care for his mother. Glen lived in Belle Fourche for eight years, where he worked for the Gambles Store and Coast-To-Coast Store.     November 30 - December 6 Officer responded to the Dollar General for a theft report. Officer met with the store manager who explained that while she was in the back of the store she witnessed a female subject leave without paying for her items. Officer reviewed video footage of the incident and was able to identify the suspect. Once the suspect was identified the officer spoke to them. The suspect started she thought she had paid.
