    Derald Gene Hayworth, 80, of Carlile, Wyoming, died Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the Ft. Meade VA Medical Center. He was born November 22, 1940, in Moorcroft, Wyoming, to Doyle and Violet (Cushman) Hayworth. He attended school in Hulett, Wyoming, where he graduated high school. In 1963, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served as a ranger in the special forces. Following his honorable discharge, he returned home to live on the family ranch, which was his true love. He worked many jobs operating heavy equipment and became known...

    Moorcroft’s 2019/2020 audit is complete and was reviewed by Deidre Budahl from Casey Peterson Ltd and the town council last Monday night.     A total of $12 million has been distributed to Wyoming’s counties through Governor Mark Gordon’s Community Charitable Relief Program. This program allows the counties to distribute awards to charities that incurred expenses related to COVID-19 in supporting the public or suffered a reduction in donations, grants and other incomes during the pandemic.     On Thursday, the Wolves boys basketball team opened their home slate of games against the Glenrock Herders. It was senior night and the boys were excited to play in front of their home crowd.     On Thursday night, the Lady Wolves welcomed to town the Lady Herders from Glenrock. The first quarter saw the Wolves pick up a quick 10-1 lead before Glenrock climbed back in to the game. Moorcroft increased their defensive pressure and took a 36-17 lead into the half. Glenrock came back in the third quarter but the Lady Wolves took a commanding lead in the fourth quarter and came out with a victory, 55-35.
