Lack of consistency costs Lady Wolves

On Friday night, the Lady Wolves hosted the Rams from Big Horn. The Wolves got off to a slow start and found themselves down 42-26 at the half.

Big Horn shot it well in the first half and our defense wasn’t where it needed to be. The Wolves came out strong in the third quarter behind a 19 point while holding the Rams to just seven points.

The Wolves trailed, 49-45, going into the fourth quarter. Neither team could get much going in the last quarter and the Wolves ended up losing, 56-49.

We started the game slow, gave up too many points in the first half and didn’t play all four quarters like we wanted. The girls never quit and I was proud of them and how they responded in the second half.

We continue to look for that complete game and putting all four quarters together on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.

On Saturday, the Lady Wolves took on the Wright Panthers. Another slow start plagued the Wolves, who found themselves down 24-13 going into the half. The Wolves played better in the second half but lost the game, 47-34.

We again got into a hole; we kept fighting but it was too much to overcome. We have to do a better job of starting the game. Consistency will continue to be the theme this week in practice.

The Lady Wolves finish the regular season this Friday in Sundance. Come out and support your Moorcroft Wolves!
