Moorcroft Police Report

On June 14, police conducted a routine traffic stop which resulted in a controlled substance search. The driver was issued three citations; Speeding, Possession of a Controlled Substance – plant form and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Pill form.

On June 16, police were contacted in reference to a dog at large. When the officer arrived in the area to attempt to find the animal’s home, the dog became aggressive, barking and growling at the officer. The dog began to run toward the officer still acting vicious and the officer pepper sprayed the animal to prevent an attack. The officer was able to find the owner who took possession of the dog. Officer gave the owner a written warning for dog at large.

On June 16, police were contacted in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The complainant stated that the driver appeared to be watching kids at the park and in front of a local residence. Officer located the suspect vehicle parked in back of one of the bars. Officer made contact with the driver who stated that he was just driving around town because he was old and needed something to do.
