The Pine Haven Fire Auxiliary hosted their 17th annual Oktoberfest Saturday to a bright fall day. The event had an average turn out and above average fun, food, conversation and laughter.
Pine Haven Auxiliary members deemed this annual fund raiser a success with raffle tickets for the baskets exceeding other years and all of the cash raffle tickets being sold. Some of the bake sale items were swooped up before they hit the table and people were waiting for Vanna Waters’ famous Keyhole Million Dollar Fudge to appear. The food table was packed, with brats disappearing and the German Stew roaster practically licked clean.
All proceeds go to enhance the Pine Haven Fire and EMS. Previous unexpected fundraisers this year helped with acquiring a grant for a power gurney for EMS and airpacks for the fire fighters.
