Moorcroft Police Report

October 7 - 13

On October 7, police were contacted by a resident who had a complaint of juveniles running a dirt bike and tearing up the grass in the area of Ellis Trailer Court. Officers will attempt to make contact with the juveniles and/or their parents to advise them of the laws.

On October 8, police were requested by dispatch to see if there was a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run at the Coffee Cup. Officer received the vehicle info from dispatch and was able to identify the vehicle parked on the west side of the truck stop. Officer gave all information on vehicle to Wyoming Highway Patrol for their case.

On October 9, police responded to a traffic crash at Moorcroft High School. No injuries.

On October 9, police were called in reference to a civil issue. Officer arrived and provided a civil standby.

On October 11, police were contacted in reference to a vehicle driving through a closed road and destroying freshly poured concrete. Officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle and they were cited for Driving Thru Closed Road.

On October 11, police were contacted in reference to a person skipping out on their bill at Deere Haven. Officer was able to make contact with the subject later on in the evening and followed them to Deere Haven where they paid their bill.

On October 11, police assisted Moorcroft High School by conducting PBT tests as entrance to their homecoming dance. Approximately 60 tests conducted.

On October 12, police responded to the Moorcroft High School football field to assist EMS on a call.

On October 12, police located a steer outside of the fence by the rest area. Officer contacted Rodeo Club and they were able to get their steer back inside the arena fence.

On October 12, police were contacted in reference to a license plate that was found at Subway. Officer arrived at Subway and was given the license plate. PD will attempt to contact the owner.
