VOLLEYBALL: Lining their sights on Regionals

The Lady Wolves were on the road to Edgemont, SD last Thursday and got the sweep, Moorcroft 3 Edgemont 0 (25-14, 25-10, 25-14).

Talissa Fischbach had eight digs; Char Cranston led the pack with eight kills; followed by Alyssa Merchen with seven kills; and Lizzie Peterson with six; Tianne Fischbach and Teagan Timberman both had three aces in the match.

The girls played well together as a team and the match was a great team win. We played our level of play and kept our errors minimal, which was our goal for the match.

Senior Night was on Saturday, October 26 where April Miller and Lizzie Peterson were honored as the seniors. The Lady Wolves had their last home game of the season before Regionals and we faced off with #2 in the state, Wright.

The Wolves fought hard, but lost in three sets, Wright 3 Moorcroft 0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-16). We had a few too many errors on our side of the court and Wright had a good night.

We are keeping our sights focused on Regionals November 1-2, in Moorcroft. We have worked hard to get to where we are today. I am very proud of where we are at this point in the season and am excited to continue to keep working hard and seeing success in our end of the season matches.

The Lady Wolves are the #3 seed and will play against Glenrock at 3 p.m. in the Wolves gym. Come support your Lady Wolves and watch some competitive volleyball!
