On a cold Monday evening, The American Legion Post #25 and Legion Auxiliary unit #25 hosted their annual Veterans Dinner commemorating the veterans who have served their country in tribulation and war.
Post 25 Commander Tim Wattenberg and Auxiliary President Vicki Paddock shared the podium as they talked about the symbolic meaning of the table and accruements that is never attended by those for whom it is set and asked the veterans present to stand as the audience applauded.
Afterward, the more than 60 guests visited and enjoyed a substantial repast before braving the freezing temperatures as they departed the last ceremony of a day full of remembrance and appreciation for veterans, both in this community and everywhere.
