Moorcroft Police Report

November 4 -10

On November 5, police were contacted by Department of Family Services in reference to a child abuse claim. Officer arrived and met with DFS and the children in question. Investigation is continuing on this case.

On November 5, police were contacted in reference to a hit and run that occurred in the upper parking lot of Moorcroft K8 school.

On November 6, police clerk assisted a person in need with assistance from the Moorcroft Emergency Fund.

On November 7, police were contacted to come to the Moorcroft High School for a Minor in Possession of Tobacco. Officer arrived to the high school and met with school officials and the student who was caught with the tobacco. Student was over the age of 18 and based off of age is not considered a minor in possession. Officer did not cite for the tobacco however school could still use their disciplinary procedures for the tobacco violation. Nothing further.

On November 10, officer assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol with traffic control for a semi truck struck on Converse Street just west of Big Horn Ave.
