Moorcroft Police Report

November 11 - 24

On November 12, police assisted Moorcroft Ambulance Service with an emergency call.

On November 13, police were called in reference to a possible break in and the complainant was afraid the person was still inside the building. Officer arrived and checked all of the rooms inside the building and was unable to locate anyone. Nothing further.

On November 14, police received a call from dispatch concerning a Safe-2-Tell call. Officer took the information and looked into the report.

On November 15, police were contacted in reference to a child who did not arrive home after school. While gathering information the child’s parent called to advise they had arrived home. Officer went to the residence and spoke with the juvenile about the importance of telling someone where there are and where they are going. Nothing further.

On November 16, police arrested a suspect on a warrant. Officer transported suspect to Crook County Detention Center without incident.

On November 18, police cited a minor for Minor in Possession of Tobacco after catching them with the tobacco at the Moorcroft Cemetery.

On November 18, police were contacted in reference to a domestic battery that was said to have taken place at Coffee Cup Fuel Stop. The female was said to be walking on I-90 near Moorcroft. Officer searched area and was unable to locate the female. Officer then was advised the female was located in Sturgis. Nothing further.

On November 18, while on a traffic stop on Country Lane, the officer’s patrol unit was struck in the back portion of the vehicle by another car. Wyoming Highway Patrol was contacted to do the traffic crash report.

On November 21, police were contacted to unlock a vehicle. Officer was able to get the vehicle unlocked.

On November 22, police were contacted in reference to a possible theft of aluminum wheels out of the back of a truck. Investigation is continuing.

On November 22, police were contacted in reference to a two vehicle crash on Tongue River Ave. One vehicle was parked and the other vehicle side swiped the parked car. Officer made contact with the driver of the suspect vehicle and the driver was subsequently arrested for Driving Under Suspension and for an outstanding warrant. Suspect transported to Crook County Detention Center without incident.
