Moorcroft Police Report

December 9-15

On December 9, police served a no trespassing notice to a resident from a local business. The resident was advised that they were no longer allowed to go to the said business. The resident acknowledged advisement. Nothing further.

On December 10, police received a report of Domestic Battery. The reporting party advised she was struck in the back of the head. Officer made contact with the victim and she advised the officer who struck her. After speaking with the victim and the suspect and evidence supporting Domestic Battery, officer placed the suspect under arrest for Domestic Battery. While searching the suspect during the arrest, suspect was found to have a controlled substance on his person. Suspect was also cited for the Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to Crook County Detention Center without incident.

On December 11, police were contacted in reference to a medical alarm. Officer went to the residence with the alarm and met up with the resident who stated they were fine, they had accidently set off the alarm. Nothing further.

On December 11, police assisted Department of Family Services with a welfare check.

On December 12, police were requested to do a vehicle unlock for someone who locked their keys in their car.

On December 12, police were contacted about a small dog being hit on Converse Street. Officer searched but was unable to locate an injured animal.

On December 13, police were requested to do a vehicle unlock for someone who locked their keys in their car.

On December 14, police were called to a residence in reference to a vehicle being left in the driveway and the homeowner having no idea who the car belonged to. Officer arrived at the residence and ran the license plate. The homeowner did not know who the owner was. Officer contacted the owner and advised them they needed to come move the vehicle out of the homeowner’s driveway.

On December 15, police responded to a complaint of vicious dog. Citation was issued.

On December 18, police went to Moorcroft High School in reference to some concerning emails that were sent by a student and were intercepted by the school. Officer went to the High School and gathered the information and then proceeded to go to the home of the student to speak with the parents. Nothing further at this time.
