She Wolves dust Devils

On Saturday, the Lady Wolves returned to action following the Christmas break with a game versus the Hulett Red Devils. The Junior Varsity girls got the afternoon started on a good note with a 27-8 victory.

Coach Arlie Hulm commented that he thought the girls came out ready to play. He felt their full court pressure created some really good opportunities that led to baskets and we took off from there.

The Lady Wolves varsity team got off to a slow start in the first two minutes and found themselves down 4-9. The team battled back with a couple of timely three pointers and didn’t look back.

The Lady Wolves took a 35-16 lead into the half and closed the game out with a 56-26 victory. With the exception of the slow start, we were able to shake the rust off and get going. It was a complete team effort as all of the girls on the team were able to get some varsity playing experience.

It was good to get back to playing games. We have had some great practices over the Christmas break and it was good to work on them in a live action game.

I was very happy with our passing and ability to find the open cutter for lay-ups. I was really pleased with the team as a whole and how everyone responded to playing in the varsity game and gaining valuable experience.

The Lady Wolves next travel to Tongue River for the Powder River Conference Tournament. Come out and support your Moorcroft Wolves!
