Wolves wrestlers place first in Greybull

Moorcroft wrestlers traveled to Greybull this past weekend to wrestle in the Greybull Memorial Invitational tournament. There, the team placed first and had three champions. Individual results were:

Champions: 113 Sean Buckmiller went 4-0, pinning all of his opponents to take the championship. 145 Parker Seeley, 4-0, pinned his way through the semifinals to advance into the finals. There, he won by major decision, 16-2. 182 Rowdy Pfeil, 4-0, winning all of his matches by pin to take the championship. Sean placed first for the tournament with the most pins in the least amount of time with four pins in 2:40 as well as first place for the most team points with 28. Rowdy placed fourth in the tournament for having the fastest fall in 0:18 and second place for scoring the most team points with 26.

Second Place: 113 Tyzer Isenberger went 3-1, pinning his way into the finals where he lost by fall to place second. 195 Dekken Mayer made it into the semifinals where he won with a pin in 1:41 to advance into the finals where he lost by decision in overtime, 4-2. 220 Parker Schlater pinned his way into the finals where he lost by decision, 6-4 to place second.

Third Place: 120 Kaden Haynes, 5-1, lost in the quarterfinals and wrestled his way back into the placings, winning two matches by pin and one match by decision to advance into the placing round. There he won with a pin in 2:10 to place third. Kaden placed second in the tournament for having the most pins in the least amount of time with four pins in 5:15.

Fourth Place: 126 Randy Peters went 3-2, losing in the semifinals and wrestling back into the placings. There, he lost by decision, 9-2 to place fourth. 152 Darrian Black 3-2, lost a close match in the semifinals, 5-4 to put him in the consolation semifinals. There, he won with a pin in 2:40 to advance into the placings where he lost another close match by decision, 7-6 to place fourth. 160 Hunter Garoutte, 3-2, lost in the semifinals and wrestled back into the placings where he lost by fall to place fourth.

Team Score: As a team, the Wolves placed first with 182 team points over second place Cody with 150 and third place Shoshoni with 117.5. High scorers were, Sean Buckmiller with 28 followed by Rowdy Pfeil with 26 and Parker Seeley with 25. Parker Seeley was also selected as the most outstanding wrestler of the tournament.
