Moorcroft Police Report

March 23-29

On March 23, police were notified of a vehicle driving the wrong way on an I-90 on-ramp. Officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle at Coffee Cup Fuel Stop. Subsequently the driver was arrested for DUI, Driving without a License and Interference with a Peace Officer. Suspect was transported to Crook County Detention Center without incident.

On March 24, while patrolling officer observed a passenger car fail to stop at a stop sign. Officer conducted a traffic stop which subsequently led to arresting the driver for DUI. Suspect was transported to Crook County Detention Center without incident.

On March 24, officer unlocked a vehicle for an owner who had locked the keys in their vehicle.

On March 25, police received a report of a mother and two children missing. Officer was able to make contact with the woman who stated they were fine. Nothing further.

On March 27, police gave emergency assistance to a traveler in need.

On March 27, police received a report of a male yelling and acting aggressive behind Coffee Cup Fuel Stop. Officer arrived and met with the male and female who were out behind the business. It was determined there was an argument and no physical harm was done to either party. Neither person wanted charges pressed. Nothing further.

On March 29, police issued a warning for a junk ordinance violation.

On March 29, police advised a homeowner they needed to remove a pile of leaves that they put in the road. Homeowner agreed to pick them up.

On March 29, police made contact with a man who was parked alongside the road with no lights. After speaking with the man, he advised the officer that he had plans to harm himself and explained to the officer how he wanted to do it. Officer asked for EMS to come and check his vitals and for any other injuries. After EMS was done, officer transported the man to Campbell County Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Nothing further.
