Moorcroft Police Report

May 11 - 17

On May 6, Police Clerk gave Emergency Fund assistance to a traveler in need.

On May 12, police were contacted by someone who is receiving harassing text messages. Officer spoke with the victim and advised them on what they could do about the situation.

On May 12, police received a report of a young child walking down the middle of the road on North Yellowstone. Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the people who found the child walking alone. While speaking with them the child’s parent arrived. Officer spoke with the parent about the severity of the situation and the parent took the child home.

On May 13, police assisted Moorcroft Ambulance Service on an emergency call.

On May 13, police were contacted about a small child in the street around the area of West Campbell. Officer responded and located the child. Officer recognized the child and took them home. Officer spoke to the child’s parent about the situation. Nothing further.

On May 15, police were contacted about a female sleeping in a car behind the agriculture shop. Officer arrived to check on the female. Officer contacted the female to determine why she was sleeping behind the high school and subsequently called EMS to check on her due to possible anxiety/panic issues. She was later taken to a local motel to sleep for the night before she continued her travels.

On May 15, police assisted Wyoming Highway Patrol during a traffic stop.

On May 15, police were contacted about a 17-year-old male who had run away from home, his parents were following him. Officer found the young man and was able to talk to him about the situation. After speaking with him and his parents he agreed to return home. Nothing further.

On May 17, police conducted traffic control for the Moorcroft High School Graduation Parade. Congratulations to the Class of 2020!
