Pine Haven mayor resigns

Bill Cunningham, Mayor of Pine Haven officially resigned his position at last Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council.

Stating health reasons, Cunningham conducted town business before tendering his resignation at the end of the meeting, thanking his council for their efforts.

“You’ve been phenomenal. I appreciate everything, but I’ve got to do what I’ve got to do,” he said.

Councilman John Cook will step in as Mayor after June 3 until the elections later this year, ensuring town business continues uninterrupted.
