Moorcoft Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

The MACC is proud to announce our winners this year for our scholarship. We are disappointed in the number of applicants this year, but we realize this has been a crazy year.

Elizabeth Peterson is receiving our scholarship, she is the daughter of Kari Peterson and Steve and Julie Peterson. She will be attending the University of Wyoming in the fall. Her plans are to go into elementary/special education.

“Lizzie” has been an active member of Moorcroft High School all four years, she is a member of the National Honor Society, student council and has played many sports. She has helped with the town clean-up, and as a member of the Squirrel Brigade has been active in improving our town.

Parker Seeley is receiving our scholarship, he is the son of Todd and Robin Seeley and will be attending Chadron State College. He is pursuing a degree in Estates Law with a goal of helping families keeping their ranches together, with plans to come back to Crook County.

While at CSC, he will be participating in their wrestling program. While at MHS he has played varsity football and wrestling. He is a volunteer USA wrestling coach and referee and involved in the setting up of tournaments.

One of his quotes from his application is: “I do not think I could stress enough the importance of community involvement and lending a hand, especially in a time of need.”
