The 18th annual Octoberfest was hosted by the Volunteer Fire Auxiliary Saturday with the number of guests comparable to previous years, according to volunteer LaDonna Rolfson. Local businesses donated baskets and door prizes and several bakers in the Pine Haven area contributed their best baked goods. The lunch was, again, a hearty treat for the fall weather. Rolfson commented of the fundraiser for the fire department and EMS, “Due to the generosity of our local businesses and workers, the 2020 Oktoberfest was a huge success.” Above, volunteers of the Pine Haven Fire Auxiliary discuss any needed finishing touches as the event opens to the public.
