Moorcroft Police Report

December 7 - 13

On December 7, police were notified of a stolen snow machine from property out on Highway 16. Officer went to the east end of town and located a dark colored truck towing a trailer with a snow machine on the trailer. Officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and passenger. Officer also confirmed the snow machine on the trailer was in fact the stolen machine. Crook County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived and scene was turned over to them as the crime occurred in their jurisdiction. Officer assisted the owner with offloading the machine from the trailer. Nothing further.

On December 8, police were called to a disturbance at Moorcroft High School due to a spectator refusing to wear a mask during a sporting event. Officer met with the spectator and the principal regarding the issue.

On December 9, police were contacted in reference to a complaint of phone threats. Officer spoke with the complainant about the situation and explained what they could do to remedy the problem.

On December 11, police performed a vehicle unlock.

On December 13, police gave emergency fund assistance to a traveler in need.
