Class of 2021

The 2021 graduation of 33 seniors from Moorcroft High School on Sunday afternoon concluded all the hard work of four years.

This celebration began with the awards presented to many students at the MHS Awards ceremony the previous week, where the scholarships were awarded as well as recognition of the Athletes of the Year, Tianna Fischbach and Lane Wood, as well as Mr. and Ms. MHS, Hunter Garoutte and Tianne Fischbach.

Valedictorian Tianne Fischbach and Salutatorian Lynelle Wendling talked about the opportunities the future holds for the class of 2021 to standing ovations before graduates dispersed through the audience, giving white roses to their parents in recognition of and appreciation for helping them reach this milestone.

MHS principal Kirby Baier then presented the diplomas as each student walked before Crook County School District board members Marlene Edwards, Thayne Gray, Chase Williams and Brian Marchant and Superintendent Mark Broderson and were congratulated with a handshake.

As the graduates took their seats one more time, Baier told them to move the tassel from the right to the left of their hats before tossing the garments into the air with much ado and sparkling graffiti. Teacher Nathan Towel struck up the band, saying farewell to the young adults leaving the room.
