In the very next race, Terry sprinted along in the 200 meter dash preliminaries with the time of 30.57 but unfortunately missed the cut for finals. The 300 meter hurdle preliminaries came next, and Cranston soared over each hurdle and earned a spot in the finals.

Terry sprinted around the oval in the 400 meter dash preliminaries, earning a position in the finals race.

Saturday morning gave way to the final races. For the Wolves, Blakeman and Cranston performed well in the 100 meter hurdles finals.

Cranston placed fourth with the time of 18.40 and Blakeman placed eighth with the time of 19.30. There was little rest for Cranston, as the next race was the 300 meter hurdle finals race; she flew over each hurdle earning a fourth place spot on the winners podium with the time of 51.74.

Terry, once again, sprinted around the oval in the 400 meter dash finals and got onto the winner’s podium with an impressive show of speed, taking eighth place with the time of 1:03.06.

The final race of the weekend for the Lady Wolves was the 1600 meter run finals. Jones pulled all the stops and looked like she was just having fun.

She made a very strong run for the finish and took another silver medal home when she finished second with the time of 5:34.07.

The Lady Wolves were a joy to watch over the course of the weekend. This tiny team of rambunctious young women took sixth place overall out of sixteen represented teams. Jones was named an all-state selection in the 3200 and 1500 meter runs.

The team is young with a bright future ahead. They will be back again next spring. They will run races, fly over hurdles, leap into sandpits and come together as a single unit with every relay.
