The drainage to the west of the MK-8 playground in Moorcroft was momentarily roaring with the influx of water last Thursday, on its way to the detaining pond. But despite the welcome rain, by that afternoon, the drain and pond were again empty. Even so, the all-day rain and cooler temperatures brought relief and beauty as the air freshened and the ground drank deeply.
