Chamber reveals community awards

The succulent aroma of home-cooked pasta drifted from the Moorcroft Town Center on October 23 for the 14th annual Moorcroft Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet, recognizing the Citizen and Business of the Year as well as Lifetime Achievement winner.

Healing Hearts Home Health was awarded the Business of the Year award. Lacy, her husband Zeb and Tina Dickey were there to accept the award.

They have been a member of our community since 2018 but Lacy has been in the home healthcare field since she was 16. She has always had the goal of owning her own home healthcare business and has accomplished that all while raising three children.

She is very passionate about her patients and always goes the extra mile to help with whatever needs they have. Healing Hearts Home Health employs 34, making them one of the largest businesses in town.

They offer many services in-home; nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and homemaking to name a few. If you need help or know someone who does, give them a call.

Cindy Mosteller is the director of the West Texas Trail Museum and was awarded the Citizen of the Year award. Since relocating her family to Moorcroft in 2012, she has been an active part of the community.

Cindy worked for the library for six years before moving to the museum and actively supports the kids of Moorcroft through booster club, sports and FFA. Cindy believes that Moorcroft is a great place to raise a family and she enjoys letting others know what is here to do in the area. She is also Secretary of the Moorcroft Area Chamber of Commerce and helps out many other organizations when she can.

Nancy Feehan was awarded our Lifetime Achievement award. Nancy has been involved in the community for as long as we can remember. Her dedication to Moorcroft is immeasurable.

Nancy raised her family here and they have all stayed in the area. She is a wonderful mother and grandmother and adopted by many.

It was very hard keeping her winning this award a secret because she is one to be involved in everything, inviting her family to participate in the evening helped. Nancy is an example to all of unselfish love, the time she has put into the MTC will never be matched by others. She had a vision and she has worked hard to see it happen.

The Moorcroft Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate all of the winners for their dedication to our community.
