Moorcroft Police Report

On December 14, police received a complaint of a possible sexual assault of a minor by another minor. Investigation is continuing.

On December 14, police conducted a civil standby.

On December 14, police assisted Moorcroft EMS on an emergency call.

On December 15, while working morning school crosswalk, officer saw a child crying, struggling to walk. Officer checked on the child who stated they had fallen and hurt their knee. Officer transported the child to Moorcroft K8 to the nurse’s office.

On December 15, police received a report of fraud through gift card purchases.

On December 16, police were contacted to assist in finding a missing purse. Officer drove around and checked the area the purse was said to be at with no luck finding it. Later the owner called to advise they found it further down the road.

On December 17, police were called for a complaint of child abuse. Investigation is continuing.

On December 22, police assisted someone who had locked their keys in their vehicle. Officer was able to gain entry to the vehicle for the owner.

On December 22, police were contacted regarding a possible custody visitation violation. Officer spoke with the complainant.

On December 23, police arrested a male subject for a warrant out of Johnson County. Officer transported subject to Crook County Detention Center without incident.

On December 24, police were called to an alarm going off at a business. Officer arrived at the address and spoke with an employee. Employee had accidently set off the alarm. Officer cleared.

On December 24, officer cited two individuals for Possession of a Controlled Substance, while on a traffic stop.
