On Friday, Moorcroft Lady Wolves hosted the Big Horn Lady Rams. The Wolves got off to a good start in the first quarter, outscoring Big Horn, 18-4.

Moorcroft was able to hold the Rams to five points in the second quarter and took a 32-9 lead into the half. The second half was similar to the first and the Lady Wolves were able to get the 60-25 victory.

I thought we really did a good job on the defensive end. We had good ball pressure and that led to turnovers that we were able to convert on the offensive end.

On Saturday, the Lady Wolves welcomed the Panthers from Wright. The junior varsity team got the afternoon started off right with a 32-14 victory.

They got good stops on defense and were able to get shots with their ball movement on the offensive end. They converted turnovers into points and that was key in the victory.

The varsity was up next and the first quarter was back and forth with neither team able to gain much ground. The Wolves lead, 12-9 at the end of the first quarter.

The Lady Wolves picked it up both offensively and defensively in the second quarter and took a 33-13 lead into the half. The home team was able to secure the victory, 52-26.

It was a good weekend for us. I was pleased with how we defended and got the stops we needed.

On the offensive end, I thought we did a good job with our ball movement and found the shots that we like to shoot.

The Wolves travel to Big Horn on Monday for a make-up game and then close the regular season versus Sundance at home on Friday and Tongue River at home on Saturday. Come out and support your Moorcroft Wolves!
