Zane Linder receives football foundation honors

A recent announcement from the Wyoming Chapter of the National Football Foundation notes that Moorcroft Wolves’ Senior quarterback, Zane Linder, has been awarded a $1200 scholarship as one of the top athlete-scholars in the conference. According to the foundation, players are selected each year based on a combination of their football ability, academic performance and community service efforts.

Zane is the son of Jamie and Dusty Linder. Zane played quarterback and safety for the Moorcroft Wolves over his career.

Zane was a four-year letter winner and team captain during his junior and senior seasons. Zane was selected First Team All-Conference quarterback and safety his sophomore, junior and senior seasons.

He also earned First Team All-State honors after his junior and senior season. He was an All-State Honorable Mention as a sophomore.

Zane was a four-year participant in Moorcroft’s FFA program, and he was a 4-H president for multiple years. Zane earned four letters in basketball, and he was a team captain as well.

Zane’s community service included involvement with the Campbell County Junior Football Association, where he assisted with practices, equipment check-out and game clock operation. He also officiated games for two years.

During his tenure as 4H President, Zane organized a number of community service activities. Zane is undecided on his post-high school plans.
