Lady Wolves continue to improve

The Moorcroft Lady Wolves went 2-0 for the weekend, winning against Big Horn and Tongue River.

The Wolves first faced #1 in 2A Big Horn, sweeping them in three sets, Moorcroft 3 Big Horn 0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-22).

As a team, we were ready to play Big Horn again this season. We saw them our first game of the season back in August and we had a tough match, losing 2-0.

It was our goal to step it up this time around, keep our offense fast and stay scrappy on defense and that is exactly what we did. Our team worked together on defense with Camlyn Connally getting 17 digs; Talissa Fischbach, 15; HayLeigh Fenner, 11; and Kailee Gill, ten.

The next day, we had a home game in the Wolves den, Moorcroft 3 Tongue River 1 (23-25, 25-13, 26-24, 25-17). Leading with kills were Camlyn Connally and HayLeigh Fenner with 13 each. Connally also added to the team's blocks for the night along with Talia Vargas, Kailee Gill and Natalee Scribner. Talissa Fischbach had five aces for the night and Natalee Scribner, four. Kyan Meek helped defensively in the back row as the libero.

We have had a great couple weeks of volleyball and I am happy with our effort and improvements this season. The JV and C teams are working hard and are improving every week as well.

We have one more week of games before we get some more conference games to finish up our 3A schedule.
