Junior high girls stand strong against Bulldogs

Tuesday, November 8, the Lady Wolves took on the Sundance Lady Bulldogs in a district junior high matchup at home.

The games started with a half game for the sixth graders and the team was victorious in this game, defeating the Bulldogs 14-8.

Following this match-up, the seventh grade Wolves fought to defeat the bulldogs, but fell short, losing by only one point. The score was 12-13.

Continuing the fight, the eighth grade Lady Wolves rose to the challenge and defeated the Bulldogs, 25-24, winning the game on a made free throw by Kimber Robinson with two seconds left on the clock.

Saturday, November 12, Moorcroft traveled to Sundance for the Powder River Tournament, where they faced the Big Horn Rams and the Tongue River Eagles. The seventh graders went 1-1 on the day.

Morgan Sheehan started shooting some really great shots and though she didn’t quite get them to fall, but she had a great game and was a stand-out.

The team lost to Big Horn (18-20) and defeated Tongue River.

The eighth graders went 0-2 on the day. London McCrea played 110% the whole Tongue River game, hustling back on defense and trying to make plays on offense. She showed true grit and played until the final buzzer.

The Wolves lost to both Big Horn (16-29) and Tongue River (23-43).  The girls showed true grit and played hard all day.
