Moorcroft Police Report

April 24-30, 2023

On April 25, police gave emergency fund assistance to travelers in need.

On April 26, police gave a courtesy ride to a homeless individual who needed a ride to the shelter in Gillette.

On April 26, police received a report of harassment. Investigation is continuing.

On April 26, police received a request from a business to trespass an individual from the premises. Upon contact with the individual, officers will serve notice.

On April 28, police were requested to conduct a welfare check. Reporting party advised they were worried they were not able to contact their neighbor. Officers were able to locate the individual who was not home.

On April 28, police received a call of a runaway juvenile male. Officer searched the area for the juvenile and was unable to locate. While still searching, officer was advised the juvenile returned to their grandparents’ home and it was decided that was where they would stay. Nothing further.

On April 30, while on I-90 watching for a REDDI report, officer observed a vehicle enter I-90 headed west in the east bound lane. Officer initiated traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver. It was determined that the confused driver was unaware of their surroundings due to dementia. Officer was able to contact a family member who picked up the driver and took them home. Nothing further.
