MIC presents nativity celebration

The public is invited to the Annual Christmas Nativity and Music Extravaganza on Sunday, December 8, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Moorcroft Town Center library; this event is sponsored by Moorcroft Interfaith Community (MIC). As in previous years, the public is invited to set up their treasured Nativity Sets before the event begins and are welcome to bring one or two or even ten of their favorite Nativity Sets for the community to view and enjoy.

While music plays in the background, guests are welcome to browse and admire the variety of Nativity Sets on display. There will also be scrumptious treats to nibble while people mix and mingle.

Moorcroft High School musicians, under the direction of Mr. Nathan Towell, are the bright stars of the afternoon. The choir will present a variety of musical selections sure to rouse Christmas spirit and incite guests to sing along.

MIC consists of local churches and individuals in the community united for the privilege of sharing God’s word in song and prayer. Thus far, the churches represented are Cornerstone Ministries Church, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Pine Ridge Community Church, First Presbyterian Church, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and Oshoto Community Bible Church.

MIC has come together to conduct outdoor services and presentations during Jubilee Days. The Christmas Nativity and Music Extravaganza and the Good Friday Last Supper are two more occasions where musicians and readers join together to promote good will and fellowship.

Recently, Moorcroft Interfaith Community held a Service of Remembrance to honor loved ones who have passed away, simultaneously supporting those in grief and mourning.

Moorcroft Interfaith Community seeks opportunities to support the local community by bringing people together for community choir, family movie nights, suicide prevention training, A.L.I.C.E training, inter-denominational worship and opportunities such as the Christmas Nativity and Music Extravaganza. Any individual or church in the community is invited to join Moorcroft Interfaith Community. If interested in joining, please contact Reverend Monte Reichenberg at the First Presbyterian Church.

Plan to begin your holidays with the joyous voices of our youth and join us on Sunday for an afternoon of pleasure.
