On Friday, February 14, four members of the Whitcomb FFA chapter and Moorcroft Ag Mechanics class attended the Tech Battle Day at Gillette College. They competed in Industrial Electrical, Machine Tool, Diesel Mechanics and Welding.
Each event challenged the boys and tested not only their knowledge but skills. Industrial Electrical was an event that required the team to wire a wall with various fixtures and tie that branch into the circuit box.
Machine Tool required them to use micrometers to get measurements of a specified piece and then mount the piece on a lathe in preparation for turning. I...
