Friday saw the first shovel of dirt cleared from the future site of the Dollar General immediately east of Pinnacle Bank on Converse Street/Highway 16.
Moorcroft’s town council approved the plans for this endeavor several months ago, advocating new business and economical growth for the town. After the crew broke ground last week, Mayor Dick Claar opined, “I think it’s great, I’m glad to see it. It will bring in more jobs and more sales tax for the county.”
Dollar General stores sell food and other merchandise at deeply discounted prices.
