Summer project season begins

As the town enters June, Moorcroft is relatively quiet, according to Mayor Dick Claar. However, he and Public Works Director Cory Allison report that several current projects are still ongoing.

Lagoon

The lagoon is essentially done, as per HDR Engineering’s Jeron Smith, “They’re just taking care of the little things.” The project should be complete by the end of the month.

Landfill

The town is not yet prepared to send the grant application into USDA as well as the subsequent loan application to Rural Development to fund the mandatory upgrade to the landfill that the town has chosen to pursue....
