Yard of the Month

The Beautification Alliance of Pine Haven is back at it for the summer. We have awarded "Yard of the Month of June" to Wade and Sarah Buxcell at 15 Spruce St.

Wade and Sarah Buxcell have two young children, Jacob and Audrey. Wade works for EOG resources as an operator. Sarah is a Registered Nurse at CC Health.

Wade and Sarah were awarded on their other home at 271 Pine Haven Rd in 2008. They still own and rent it with the beautiful yard they landscaped to enjoy.

They bought the new place we are awarding them for in 2015. The house needed a lot of work.

They had to gut it and totally fix inside. They have done a lot and it looks great.

Right now this summer they are busy redoing the deck upstairs, where they can sit and look at the lake and enjoy. In the meantime, during the summer, besides working on inside, they have fixed up their yard the last couple of years.

Wade has hauled in dirt and lots of rocks he's collected to make a retaining wall. Wade has gathered rocks from all over different states where he has worked.

They are also planning to make a "She Shed". They got some iron ore (from a 100-year-old shed) so they can use the wood for it.

They will also add a garage down the road. As they fix the yard, Sarah has planted lots of flowers that neighbors have given to her.

She's gotten a lot, so hasn't had to buy many. So, she has planted them and added rocks and so on to make a gorgeous yard.

If you go check it out, look to the south and you'll see a bunch of firewood piled up. Look closely and see that there is a window and door put in so the kids can play inside like a house (until they need to use them).

Wade and Sarah, Jacob and Audrey, all love it here in Pine Haven. They enjoy their view of the lake and are friends with all their neighbors.
