Rich Wilkerson grills up a mean feast for the first responders' lunch.
Around 60 guests attended the second annual lunch hosted by Pine Haven's Over the Hill Gang, honoring first responders from around Crook County last Saturday.
Rich Wilkerson worked the grill and there were many tasty side dishes available inside. Tables filled with everyone taking turns thanking firemen and EMS technicians as they met.
The meal was followed by the other star of the feast, the sheet cake that was uniquely decorated with edible pictures of the Pine Haven ambulance and fire truck.
The organizers are pleased with the turn out, according to Chris Bingham, and plan to meet again next summer to celebrate these quiet volunteers.
