Pine Haven's resident smoke gray wild turkey hen has beaten the odds again. Her markings show up in one bird out of every 100, according to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and her first young black poult is considered very rare, having been born with no colored markings at all, though the wing bars are now turning into smoke. She has now produced a second all-black and is obviously quite proud of the accomplishment.
