Lady Wolves represent Moorcroft well at Conference

Conference play has started for the Moorcroft Lady Wolves. The team went 1-1 for the weekend in our 3A conference.

We travelled first to #5 Buffalo and had a hard-fought battle, falling short, Buffalo 3 Moorcroft 1 (25-17, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21).

We played well against Buffalo. They ran a tough offense and we worked hard on defense to stay scrappy and keep the ball in play.

HayLeigh Fenner had a great night and got 11 kills as a right side hitter, which was great for our team. Camlyn Connally followed with nine kills. As a team we served 93% and got seven aces, so that was a great serving night for us.

We then saw Glenrock in conference play and got the sweep for our first home game, winning Moorcroft 3 Glenrock 0 (25,10, 25-11, 25-16). It was a great first home game opener at the Wolves gym for us.

Camlyn Connally led the pack with 11 kills, followed by Natalee Scribner and HayLeigh fenner with five each. Kailee Gill ran the offense with 22 assists.

Defensively, Talissa Fischbach took charge in the back row with 13 digs, followed by Camlyn Connally with nine and Kyan Meek with six. As a team, we served 94% and chalked up 17 aces.

We worked hard and stayed consistent, which were our goals for the weekend.

From C team to JV to Varsity, it was fun to see the teams play together and work hard and represent the Wolves.
