Council plans for future street work

After several months, the deep crack that ran the length of Goshen Street has been filled and sealed, according to Public Works Director Cory Allison.

To deal with future cracking before it reaches similar straits, though, Mayor Ben Glenn wants a more preventative plan from the director.

“I’d really rather stay on top of that than let it fall behind. Start game planning for spring and summer. I think that’s just something you need to stick in your hat,” he said.

Glenn suggested planning such work to coincide with concurrent projects if possible.

Allison agreed, alluding to South Belle Fourche and Little Horn that are around six years old now and will need some maintenance soon.
