Polishing Pine Haven for summer

Pine Haven’s council has approved this year’s cleanup day for Saturday, May 20 and dumpsters will be available in the town hall parking lot for residents to deposit their waste throughout the weekend.

There is, though, a list of items that will not be accepted in these dumpsters. This list is available at Town Hall as well as on the Pine Haven municipal website, https://pinehavenwy.govoffice2.com/; everyone planning to avail their household of this provision is encouraged to check it out before Saturday.

Among these items is household garbage, yard waste, branches, furniture, appliances, construction waste, etc.

However, the C&D pit at the Moorcroft landfill accepts most of the items on the list except tires, batteries and freon appliances (refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners) and yard waste and branches are accepted in a separate hole.

The C&D pit is only open by appointment at this time so those who want to haul their waste to the site for disposal should call 756-3526 to make an appointment for any time between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
