Active shooter training coming to Pine Haven

Crook County Sheriff’s Office is offering Critical Incident Response Training to any interested member of the public and is hosting sessions in each of the four municipalities.

The dates for Pine Haven’s event have now been announced. Training will take place on October 27, beginning at 4 p.m. in the Pine Haven Community Center. The class is expected to last for between three and four hours.

Even if you’ve taken ALICE training with the Sheriff’s Office before, Sheriff Jeff Hodge encourages you to consider attending. Aside from the new aspects that have been added to the curriculum, he says, a refresher is never a bad idea.

If you are less physically able, please do not feel you cannot participate. You will be able to opt out of the practical aspect of the class but still observe as the concepts are put into action.

Critical Incident Response Training will be hosted by Deputy Ed Robinson and Deputy Jory Tadlock. For further information, or to reserve a spot, contact the Crook County Sheriff’s Office at 283-1225.

Reservations are not required.
